Wasteland Rebels is a text-based simulation game based on the world of Macross (aka Robotech) where you are the pilot of a ship that fights other ships from the opposing side in the war. Everything happens through descriptive text that you react to by choosing from the options presented, like do you fight or flee, or do you attack using your missiles or laser weapons. There doesn't seem to be a tremendous amount of depth but if you are fan of this genre and are interested to see what kind of random events occur, it might be worth trying. (Unfortunately I can't find a version that includes documentation so we don't know more about the author, shareware registration cost, or other details.)
